Brown Bears

In a small enclave on the Finnish/Russian border a few wild brown bears survive, just. Sadly they are still persecuted and misunderstood and scratch an existence in this magical place. They are truly magnificent animals and not at all aggressive to humans. It was an absolute privilege to spend a few days observing the intimacies of their daily life and behaviours. They are the same species as the grizzly bear but smaller because they don't have the luxury of a salmon diet!
