Bosque del Apache

Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge is in New Mexico. It is an overwintering haunt for snow geese and sandhill cranes who feed on the cornfields during the day and roost on the lakes at night for safety. These images are from a recent trip and capture a selection of the days activities from dawn to dusk. Seeing thousands of geese and cranes in one place truly is a magical event.
