I have been a keen photographer and artist for as long as I can remember but only recently begun to take the art of photography more seriously and in particular learn about the vast options that the advent of digital presents for the photographer. The ability to process your own images and experiment with software packages really has made photography much more accessible and affordable. The creative options are only limited by your imagination and time to experiment and learn!
My subject interests are varied and encompass pretty much everything from tiny bugs to enormous jets and most things in between. Having said that at the moment I am focussing on wildlife photography, with a number of trips planned. The majority of my images have very little post processing applied and most of what you see on screen is exactly as the shot was taken.
For those of you interested in the technical side I have listed my main kit:
Nikon D700 with power drive
Nikon lenses f/2.8 14-24mm, f/2.8 24-70mm, f/4.5 70-300mm, 105mm micro, f/2.8 300mm
B&W Kaisemann polariser
Lee soft and hard graduated filters
Lee pro glass neutral density filters
Remote release and tripod
A few of the images in the galleries were taken on a compact digital camera, its not always possible to carry a lot of kit. Hopefully it shows that you can still create pleasing results with modest equipment. My compact digital is a Panasonic Lumix TZ5 and I would highly recommend it or the current version the TZ7 for those wanting a compact high quality alternative.
In case you were wondering, Mazooki is a family name of Italian origin!
